    GPU Crashes to Black "No Signal" Screen Even Under Light Load


    To anyone willing to help me,For about a month now, during gameplay or even in game menus my Graphics card stops outputting any video with the monitor loosing signal, but Windows is still running. It is not overheating or loss of power, as it maintains ~80 degrees even at high load and I can see the fans spinning when it crashes.To regain video output my computer requires a restart and will not output video to the monitor until it has been shut down and rebootedI originally got an error with this message in event viewer:Error 14 nvlddmkm, however I solved that error buy rolling back my drivers

    Fix for black screen/no signal

    Easy Fix for Black Screen/No Signal after Dedicated GPU Driver Install, OS Windows 10

    The problem (at least in my case) was the Windows 10 default settings for my monitor/TV were way too high; above 3000 X 3000 and a scaling setting of 300% this
    did work with the Basic Driver

    Step 1: You need to reboot into your on board GPU or into safe mode

    Step 2: Go to the search panel and type in Display Settings (Bottom left of screen) you will be given a list click on the top item which is Display Setting and it will take you where you can alter the setting

    Step 3: Change to what better suits your monitor e.g. 1862 X 1048 or may be even lower at 100% (HD TV) You may need to uninstall the Dedicated GPU driver and reinstall it.

    Hard crashes with ANY heavy load

    Out of the blue, my computer has been crashing upon heavy loads. For example, playing a game. I can load into the menu fine, but when it finishes loading the game, either the game will crash or my computer will black screen and restart. Specs and what I have tried already are as follows:

    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
    • RAM: 32GB Corsair DDR4-3200MHz
    • MOBO: ASUS X470 Prime Pro
    • GPU: ZOTAC GTX-1070
    • PSU: Corsair CX450
    What I have tried:

    • Updated drivers for CPU, GPU and MOBO BIOS updated
    • reinstall GPU drivers via NVIDIA software utilities
    • unplugged and reconnected all PSU connections, reseated GPU
    I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions you have to fix my issues are greatly appreciated.

    I would suggest going back to at least the October version:
