  1. GPU failed and how my USB devices won't work properly (Potential PSU or Mobo Failure).

Last night, I was playing a game and my GPU went all funky. Screen froze/mouse cursor froze and I got weird artifacts; ultimately had to manually reset the computer. I checked the dump and it indicated a GPU driver problem (potentially) so I started playing around with different drivers. However, even idling on the desktop would cause the computer to crash after a little while. These crashes were accompanied by artifacts and strange dots all over the screen. Sometimes the screen would just go completely black. Other times when I would reboot the computer, the screen would just go to sleep on the lock screen menu and not wake up.

In the event viewer I was seeing Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm events proceeding the crashes and then Dcom events every few minutes afterwards.

I decided to eventually just pull the gtx 770 out of the computer and replace it with my gtx 560 ti. After rebooting the machine and installing the proper drivers things seemed to go back to normal. That is until I decided to try to use my Microphone and Xbox One controller.

When I go to install the drivers for either device, it seems to work but the devices do not interface with the computer. I can't get the mic to send sound through my speakers and the light on the xbox controller doesn't turn on (nor does the controller configure tool find it). Even running through the sound input troubleshooter doesn't find the microphone.

Both of these devices are USB powered and this is leading me to believe that perhaps I have a PSU and/or Motherboard problem and not a GPU problem on my hands. The 770 takes up more power then the 560 ti etc. I can't get these devices to work on any of the USB ports and when I look at their events, I get cryptic messages like "Device configured(null)" or "Device requires further installation."

All of this is really strange because my Mouse and Keyboard still work (both have LEDs and macros etc) yet I can't get the mic or the controller to install or work. Can some one please point me in the right direction?

    Gtx 770 (gtx 560 ti)

Windows Insider preview pro build 18950

As an FYI, I've been on this insider build for a few weeks because I want to use WSL2 for my work. I've had no issues with this build until now.
