Windows 10: GPU High Priority Compute spikes to 100% and makes my system run at 5fps

Summary: When alt-tabbing or while using software such as Unreal Engine, High Priority Compute spikes to 100, and my computer goes down to around 5 fps. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, but I'm unsure where else I can ask. I'm unsure if this is software or hardware. The only thing I can think of that changed is when I bumped pretty hard into my desk and it shook a little. I have tried reseating the GPU and made sure the RAM was secure, but it did nothing, which is why I think it's a software problem. This is what it looks like when I open Task Manager. Significant CPU, GPU and RAM lag spikes

My computer is having significant lag spikes. How do I make my computer's CPU, GPU and RAM go down? Any tips or suggestions? Also I use this computer for gaming. 100% gpu usage! 6.5gb ram usage! 65% cpu usage! Disk does fine, though. Windows 10, 21H2

 

100% GPU Usage Spikes on Windows 10

Hi there,
around a week ago I decided to reinstall windows on my laptop (Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55, NVIDIA 1660ti GPU). I reinstalled all my drivers from the website of my manufacturer and all was well. I started noticing large lag spikes that lasted around 0.5 of a second to 1.5 seconds when playing Rocket League and I found it was due to my GPU usage spiking to 100% in high intensity moments and my usage was already high so I assumed it just ran out of resources. I capped my FPS and the issue was fixed for while (a few days), however, since yesterday and maybe the day before, my GPU usage has been spiking again and more randomly this time and I believe in all games. I tried installing a different driver but it didn't work and I'm not sure what to do. Can anyone help me out? Please ask any questions if necessary and I'll answer them to my best ability.

GPU spikes and high energy usage

Hi,

so, it's been about 2-3 mounths that my pc started to register some high energy usage (like in the image below) and very frequent GPU spiking, causing

software choking and one of them immediatly crashes (Blender 2.80). Spiking occurs when doing something minimally demandind.

My PC is new, it is less than 1 year old, it has already been dusted and it's configs are:

i7 8700 3.2 GHz, 24 GB RAM, B360 TUF Gaming, GPU Geforce GTX1080, 700W power supply (which supplies cpu, 25'' 60Hz IPS monitor, small tablet, mouse and keyboard).

I don't think i have install any important driver that would bug so much my pc. The energy usage register varies a lot! But normally goes 'high' and 'very high' mainly for Photoshop, Goggle Chrome and any 'bigger' software I'm using.

What could be that?
