Windows 10: Grainy / Bad Quality Desktop Background Windows 10

I recently got a new windows 10 PC, and installing all of the drivers went smoothly.

However, since first booting up this PC my desktop background looks grainy and really bad quality no matter what image I use.

My graphics drivers are up to date and I'm on the correct resolution for my monitor.

Everything else looks good. (Windows, Apps, Videos, Games ect.)

Could this be being caused by the fact that I'm using HDMI? I could use DVI to VGA, would that be a better option and could that fix my problem?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Logo Key + I. Then click on Personalization.
• Click on Background to change it.

Lost desktop background

I did a Search & Distroy spyware scan the other day, and one of the suggested "fixes" said something about removing Active Desktop. Like the muppet I am I clicked yes and am now without a desktop background picture.

Does anyone have an idea how to reverse this? If I try to select a picture it's simply not added as a background.

 

Windows 10 Desktop Background pictures

Windows 10 Desktop Background pictures are not updating and existing pictures are not acceptable quality.

It used to be update different types of HD quality background pictures automatically when I set it to slideshow mode. But now its only has 3 or 4 bad quality pictures and windows not updating any new pictures at all. I would like to get some help sorting
this matter. (I know its a silly matter but I like when background bit of colourful). Thank you.
