Discus and support Granting my other laptop access to files like movie library PC asking me to enter username... in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; how come everytime I try to gives access to my another laptop files or video files the PC is asking me to enter a username and password?     how come everytime I try to gives access to my another laptop files or video files the PC is asking me to enter a username and password? I'm confuse about this is this my microsoft username and password as I'm login using my microsoft id and password. But its not accepting this credentials. Please advise what is windows 10 asking for.

    How to pin c-users-username to quick access not the desktop library of username?

    EDIT: Pinning c-users-username-(folder) functions normally it is specifically c-users-username that is the problem

    The problem occurred before the customization (which is simply use document template). It also fails to work on two other windows 10 laptops (all three devices are different manufactures and motherboards and parts). So it most certainly is not because I
    changed the template. It also has occured for nearly a year now across every update, I even attempted on a clean install(using the media creation tool) without updating or installing anything and it also failed.

    Just to make sure we are following the same steps.

    I navigate to C:\users\ right click and pin to quick access

    I click the link it creates

    opens username(that library in desktop) and not C:\users\username

    Windows Movie Maker not recognizing .avi files

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    We would suggest you to repair the Windows Live Movie Maker and check.

    Follow the below steps to repair Windows Live Movie Maker.

    • Type appwiz.cpl in the search box and hit Enter.
    • Right click Windows Essentials 2012 and select repair.

    Win 10 Laptop cannot access Western Digital Nas Drive

    tried that no luck but i was able to get into the nas drive by entering my microsoft acct info! Poking around google someone suggested that and it worked.

    Now there is another computer i'd like to access via this dell laptop but it too is asking for sign in credentials but the microsoft stuff didn't work on that one...
