Windows 10: Graphics Card DirectX Issue

I have been trying to play Civilization 5 (an older game, I know, but it works fine on my Windows 10 laptop) and it keeps crashing on my Windows 10 desktop. Noticing that it runs in DirectX 9 mode fine and only crashes in DirectX 10/11 mode, I decided to look at my system's DxDiag file. Turns out, DxDiag is stating that my graphics card driver is from November 2015.

I have an nVidia Gefore 760, and I have actually ran the Geforce Experience software several times and my drivers are listed as up-to-date. The Gefore Experience software states that my graphics card driver is from December 2015. Why would DxDiag return a different date? Is DirectX 12 not recognizing my latest graphics card driver install? Is there a way to fix this that doesn't involve completely reinstalling Windows 10?

It depends as per the Graphics card installed on your computer. Better, as per the Graphics card installed on your computer, go to device manufacturer (I.e. AMD or Intel or Nvidia) website and see which
DirectX version that your Graphics card supports. If you find any latest
DirectX update, then try to update the same to see if sort out the issue.

 

directX issue

I bought this new laptop in this i downloaded gta vice city i have windows 10 no graphic card i have directx 12 but whenever i open the game it shows directx above 8 is required. The game doesnot rquire graphic card to play but i think i have an issue
with the software help me on this

 

You can install DirectX 9 alongside the ones that come with Windows 10. Give that a try and see if it helps.

 

I can already run my game in DirectX 9 mode as it is. I would like to be able to use it in DirectX 10/11 mode.
