Windows 10: Graphics card HDMI output only sending stereo for multichannel source

My Windows 11 workstation has an RTX 3070 GPU, whose HDMI output is connected to a Denon AV amp AVC-X8500H. The Windows Sound settings for this output support multichannel audio but the AV amp treats it as a stereo input even when playing multichannel videos on the computer. All other inputs on the amp work fine with multichannel audio. What might be limiting the AV amp's computer input to stereo sound?

How to switch the HDMI signal source from discrete graphics card to integrated graphics card?

I have a HP OMEN laptop with dual graphics cards inside (Intel HD 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, drivers up-to-date). My laptop suffers from a wired mouse-lagging problem when the windows 10 UAC prompts out, and the problem can be solved by disabling the NVIDIA graphics card from windows device manager. However this solution comes with a cost: my HDMI port can no longer output signals.

Currently I don`t use my NVIDIA graphics card very much, and I really wish to switch it off to make the UAC prompt smoother. However I do need to connect my laptop to a second screen, and is it possible to switch the HDMI signal source to the Intel graphics card?

There are two alternatives: 1. Use the DVI-D output with an adapter cable to HDMI.(Cheapest solution). 2. Install a PCI-E Graphics Card with HDMI output. Examples have been mentioned.

 

Sound output through 2 HDMI monitors (HDMI and DVI ports)?

Hi Community, here's the thing. I have two HDMI monitors, one conneced to an HDMI port and one to a DVI (both give sound, even the DVI) but I cannot make both of them give sound at the same time. Windows lists them both as one output source, and only the first monitor that I plug in first gives sound. If it is of help, I don't have a dedicated graphics card, they're both connected to the motherboard ports.
