    I updated my intel uhd graphics driver from acer official page because many videos were not playing properly. However, even after updating, the issue is still not solved. On further investigation i went to device manager and looked in the events section. There it says "device not started igfx" can you please help to resolve this issue? It is the latest driver recommended for my device.Here's the exact errorGraphics device issue :Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9B41&SUBSYS_13451025&REV_02\3&11583659&0&10 had a problem starting.     Hi Harish,

    Thank you for keeping us updated.

    I would suggest you to follow the same steps above suggested by Jenith_James and select the previous operating system like
    Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 7 and install it
    and check if it helps.

    Let's try the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Method 1: I suggest you to update graphics drivers
    following the below steps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
    • Right click on the graphics driver and select
      Update driver software.

    Method 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the
    graphics card drivers and
    update and check.

    I suggest you to try following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I would suggest you to run “Hardware and Devices” troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue.

    Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:


    • Press “Windows key + X”.

    • Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.

    • Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.

    • Select “Hardware and Devices” under Devices option.
    Follow the On Screen instructions.

    Method 2: I suggest you to Un-install and re-install latest graphics card drivers from the manufacturer’s website and see if that helps:

    Follow these steps:


    • Press “Windows Key + X” from the keyboard.

    • Type “device Manager” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.

    • Right click on the graphics card drivers and select
      “Uninstall”.
    Restart the computer once it is uninstalled.

    Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

    Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Hardware and Devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Devices.

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the
      View all option on the left panel
    • Run the Hardware and Devices

    Method 2:I suggest you to login to safe mode and check if the issue still persists. This is to isolate the issue of the graphics driver.

    To enter into Safe Mode in Windows 10, follow the steps given below.

    • Restart your PC.
    • Press Shift + F8 before the Windows logo appears.
    • Click See Advanced Repair Options.
    • Click Troubleshoot.
    • Click Advanced Options.
    • Click Windows Startup Settings.
    • Click Restart.
    You then see a list where you can choose Safe Mode.

    If the issue still persists then I would suggest you to contact the respective manufacturer.
