  1. Graphics Driver Issues on Lenovo Laptop Game Keeps Crashing

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me please. My games keep crashing on my laptop, and I'm pretty sure it's because my graphics driver is an old one, however when I've been on the Windows System Updates and Lenovo Vantage app they've both said that my systems are up-to-date. I've also tried using the Lenovo website to scan my laptop and run an Automatic Driver Update on the 'Troubleshoot & Diagnose' page, however it keeps coming up with the following message, no matter how many times I try: 'Scan Error. An error occurred, please Try again'. I'm not sure why this error keeps

    :)

  2. Game crashing.

    Hi Nini,

The error message that you received when you played the game means that the graphics card driver needs an update. To resolve your concern, we suggest that you update the graphics card driver by following the steps below:

    • Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
    • Expand one of the categories to find the name of your display adapter, then right-click (or tap and hold) it, and select Update Driver. For graphics cards, expand the Display adapters category, right-click your graphics
      card and select Update Driver.
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
    • If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver:

    • Open the Device Manager.
    • Right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the display adapter.
    • Select Uninstall.
    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

You may also run the game in compatibility mode to make it work on your Windows 10 PC by following the steps below:

    • Go to the game folder and right click on the setup file.
    • Click on Properties and go to the Compatibility tab.
    • Under the Compatibility mode, check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select the operating system where the game is compatible.
    • Let the drivers install and launch the game again

Keep us updated with the results after performing the suggested solutions above.

If you think this was useful, do not hesitate to "mark it as an answer" to help those who are facing the same problem.

  3. Graphics drivers keep crashing

So i bought a brand new computer with Windows 10, ran all the windows updates until it said there weren't anymore twice. I then updated all of the drivers (motherboard, cpu, graphics card, audio, ect.) And installed a game and tried to play, the graphics
    drivers repeatedly crashed.

so i went into the settings optimized the game for that particular card and tried again still crashed including a bsod. Tried several Different games... Same result. so, i did troubleshooting...

    Tried:

Re seated all components - crash

Clean install of drivers - crash

Ensured OGC was disabled - crash

    Installed earlier drivers - crash

Made sure nothing was overclocked - crash

Clean install of Windows full updates and drivers everything - crash

Swapped power supply for better one - crash

    Swapped ram - crash

Bought and installed better graphics card did full clean installs of everything - crash

Swapped hard drive (again full clean install of everything) - crash

Removed graphics card entirely and try onboard graphics with clean installs - crash

At that point i was done, i returned the computer and bought the parts to build one since i had the power supply graphics card hard drive ssd and ram anyway put it all together and... Yeah it crashes, its the graphics driver every time, sometimes even when
just browsing the web looking for answers it crashes ive tried everything twice once with each machine, i used two different brands of graphics cards both Nvidia and ati as well as the amd on board graphics... They all crash... What am i missing?

    • What is the make and model of the computer?
    • Are you facing the issue on a local or the Microsoft user account?
    • Is the issue specific to Solitaire?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to perform a Driver Roll Back so that the driver goes back to the previous state and check if the issue is resolved.

    Steps:-

    • Press “Windows + X” and select Device Manager.
    • Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
    • Right click on the driver icon and click on Properties.
    • Go to Driver tab.
