    Graphics Driver not recognized in Device Manager yet shows it is installed.


    The Graphics Driver shows installed in Add/Remove Programs. Plug + Play = Started & AutomaticOne major issue: shows a 1,000 Hz Refresh Rate in Graphics Settings. Where did this 1,000 Hz come from? I have not changed any Graphics Settings.Is the 1,000 Hz affecting the respective Driver to not appear in Device Manager? Is there a fix?Monitor shows 64 Hz Refresh Rate + 32 Bit Color Depth. There are no other Modes available.I don't know when this started. Yet, I have not seen a difference in Graphics Quality with the standard VGA Graphics. I did attempt to uninstall the Standard VGA, however i

  2. Cant find graphics card on device manager!

    • What is the make and model of your computer?
    • Do you get any error message while playing or to launch a game?

    I suggest you to unhide the hidden drivers in Device Manager by following the steps provided below and check if the Graphic card driver is visible:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Click on View and click on Show Hidden Devices.

  3. Graphics driver "requires further installation."

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand the inconvenience that you are facing, I will be glad to you help you.

    The issue could be if the drivers are either not updated or get corrupted. So, I would suggest you to update the display drivers and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

    Method 1: Update display adapter driver.

    Step 1: Check for the latest driver update through Windows Updates.


    • At the Start screen, type
      Windows Update
      .

    • Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select
      Install optional updates from the left results.

    • When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates.

      Incompatible or not properly installed graphics card drivers are the most common cause of this issue.
    Step 2: Follow the steps below to update the graphics/display drivers.

    • Press Windows + X key on the keyboard.
    • Go to device manager.
    • Right-click your display device.
    • Click Update Driver Software and then follow the steps in the wizard that appears.
    • Restart the computer and check.

    Display driver not supporting and device manager not showing Display adapter option

    Hi Maheen,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

    • Incorrect settings.
    • Corrupt or outdated display driver.
    Try the steps listed here and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to download and install all the available Windows Updates including Optional Updates. Check if it helps.

    Method 2:

    If the issue persists, i suggest you to uninstall and re-install latest display driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Uninstall display driver.

    • Right-click on the Start Button and click on
      Device manager.
    • Double-click on Display Adapters to expand.
    • Right-click on the display adapter driver that is listed and select properties.
    • In the window opened, click on drivers tab.
    • In the drivers tab, Click on Uninstall option.
    Now restart your computer and check, if the problem persists try step 2.

    Step 2:

    Re-install display driver from the manufacturer website.
