Windows 10: Graphics Performance Preference shows only iGPU

I am using Lenovo ideapad 320 AMD A9 with Radeon R5 Integrated Graphics & Radeon 530 Dedicated Graphics with windows 10 version 21H1 OS Build 19043.2251. In my Device Manager and Task Manager, it shows my both graphics card but in Graphics Performance Preference it only shows my iGPU. The game on iGPU runs very laggy, I want to change Asphalt 9:Legend to my DGPU. I have tried some cmd code found online "bcdedit" something but it didn't resolve my issue. Pictures speak louder than words, I have attached pics to make more sense of it. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Graphics Performance Preferences

In the Graphics Performance Preferences settings you are able to set individual programs/.exe's/store apps to use either a high performance gpu or the iGPU to save power.

Leaving the option as "let windows decide" just leaves windows to always make the wrong decision, as it leaves the poor weak iGPU pinned at 100% usage trying to run 4k 60fps video which it does not seem capable of doing so even for YouTube videos, or it tries to share the load between the iGPU and the actual GPU leaving it at 5% usage while the computer chugs through something it can run fine.

Is there a way to change how windows decides which to use? Like an option where if the iGPU is overloaded it changes to the actual GPU.

Or a way to set each and every program on my computer to only ever use the actual GPU I paid for without having to do it manually for every program?

 

having issues with multi GPU

I’m trying to offload certain apps to my iGPU on the second screen, using the new graphics settings in the recent win 10 release. the issue is it’s only showing my 1070. lists it as both power saving GPU, and
high performance GPU.

I’ve been fiddling for a while now with no joy, and i’m really hoping one of you guys has an idea they can suggest to sort this!

I can extend onto the second screen no probs with it plugged into the iGPU, but the 1070 is still listed as both power saving GPU and high performance GPU.

Are there requirements for this? certain level of iGPU for it to work?

Edit - setting the secondary screen connected to the iGPU to be the "main" display in graphics settings makes my iGPU show as both power saving and high performance GPU, I just can't seem to get them
to be one and not the other.

 

DWM spikes in iGPU Usage (Dell)

That is normal, nothing is wrong. The whole point of having a iGPU or GPU is that it is used when required.

Obviously the more complex the Window that is resized will mean a greater spike.

Most games are designed for Nvidia or AMD graphics chipsets rather than iGPUs. The minimum requirements are usually listed for those, however in almost all cases an iGPU can be used with no problem other than a reduced performance.

It does not matter about the version of your driver.
