Windows 10: Grave accent won't switch language while typing

    Grave accent won't switch language while typing


    Hi I am on a newly bought PC using windows 10 home with Thai and English languages.

    With my previous other-PC experience, I could press the grave accent to switch language on the go while I am typing rapidly and it won't care whether I am typing or not, it would just change the language right away once I press the "grave accent."


    Now with this new PC while a button is being pressed, your grave accent command will be completely ignored. I have to stop touching a key before I can press it to switch language. This makes it extremely uncomfortable and confusing.


    I wonder if there is a tweak I can do to use the "grave accent" to switch language regardless what other key I am pressing.

    English (United Kingdom) Keyboard does not let me change language with grave accent

    I switch between 2 languages, Thai and English (US), but now I also have to swap through the UK keyboard that cannot be removed in the preferred language menu. This appeared on its own after the recent Windows update. It's apparently the Windows display
    language on my laptop.

    Moreover, when I hit grave accent to swap back to Thai, it just keeps typing ```` without changing the language. Right now I'm hitting window keys + space bar but it is very annoying to switch through 2 versions of the English keyboard to get to the language
    I want.

    Is there a way to disable this UK keyboard? Or a way to stop it from typing the grave accent so I can use that button to toggle between languages?

    Many people in Thailand use Grave Accent to Switch Input Language, we got many error on Windows 10 + Microsoft Product (Office, Visual Studio, etc), how I fix this?

    Grave accent won't switch language while typing

    How to fix error when press Grave Accent for change language?

    I'd submit this problem to Microsoft and they said that Windows does not support change language with Grave Accent. They let me use another key for switch language.

    Very funny that Thailand use Grave Accent to switch language for more than ten years but Microsoft never realize that.

    After I've continuous complained Microsoft for this problem since Office 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016, (around 8 years) couple months ago (begining of Year 2017) Microsoft just realize and promise that they will start investigate the Grave Accesnt hot key
    problem.

    AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!!!!

    Until now still no fix for this problem yet.

    From my experience tempoprary fix this problem from more than 8 years, with hundreds of computers.

    Outlook 2013, 2016, 365:

    1. Uninstall Office, Uninstall Office language pack

    2. Restart computer

    3. Install Office, Install language pack, run full Office update.

    If Outlook 2007 or 2010, need to uninstall and reinstall Outlook Social Connector might a bit help.

    The problem will be gone for maybe couple month, then will come back again.

    Or for permanently fix this problem recommended by Microsoft, change "grave accent" to another key (example, Ctrl + shift).
