Windows 10: Gray screens graphical card driver crash? when starting/ playing a new video in google...

Hi,I have a HP Elitebook 660 G11 notebook with the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2050. On the notebook i have the HP dock G5 connected with 3 screens connected on it 2x 1920x1080 and 1x 4K .Every time when i start a new episode of my streaming on google chrome, the screen flickers and i get gray screens that sometimes stays gray. When i press CTRL + SHIFT + WINDOWS KEY + B reset graphical drivers the problems gets fixed untill the start of the next video / episode in google chrome. I allready did a bios update, windows update Windows 11 pro 24H2 , i disabeld hardware acceleration in google c

This issue may occur if the video/graphic drivers are corrupted.

1) Have you installed the latest video drivers for the PC?

2) Does this issue occur only while playing videos?

I suggest you to update the graphics card drivers/display drivers and check if it resolves the issue.

  Open Device Manager.

  Expand ‘Display Adapter’.
  
• 
  Locate the display driver.
  
• 
  Right-click on the display card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’
  

I suggest you to run the Hardware and device troubleshooter and check.

  Type “troubleshooting” in the search box and click on
  troubleshooter
  
• 
  In the left pane, click on View all
  
• 
  Now click on Hardware and device and follow the on screen instruction.

Video card driver crashing when playing games

We suggest that you rollback your driver. To do so, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R to open run dialog box.
• In the dialog box window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
• Right click on your video card driver -> Properties ->
  Driver tab and select Rollback driver.

If the issue persists, it could be better to contact the developer of the game.

"Gray Screen of Death"

Great post! I have a Sapphire HD 5750 sitting on the shelf going to waste due to the gray screen crash. I run dual monitors and mine crashes randomly in 2D and is guaranteed to gray screen playing any kind of video.

A few months ago I tried this method to no avail. The clocks stayed up just fine but it didn't help my crashing problem.

This post has motivated me to maybe find a reference HD 5750 bios of another brand and try flashing.

I've never flashed a video card, any suggestions or links where I might find a bios and flash utility?
