Windows 10: green bars come up when playing dvds on my built in cd rom

Discus and support green bars come up when playing dvds on my built in cd rom in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have a laptop that runs on windows 10 and has a bulit in cd rom on the side of it. when i first got it dvds worked fine with no problems but lately...     I have a laptop that runs on windows 10 and has a bulit in cd rom on the side of it. when i first got it dvds worked fine with no problems but lately its been showing up with these weird green bars when playing or just doesn't play at all depending on what player i usei have a feeling it had something to do with autoplay.exe thing i tried to install from my blair witch project dvd. i guess it had cd rom exclusive things on it but because of age the software it used it outdated at messed my computer up when it comes to playing dvds cds work fine thoughadvice would be super appreciated

    • The last activities performed on your device prior to your concern.
    • If you've experienced your concern on any CD or DVD.
    • If you're able to see the CD/DVD drive in File Explorer.
    • The version and build of Windows 10 that you're using in your device. To check this, you can perform the steps posted on this

    DVD/CD Drive Saying CD-Rom

    My Dvd drive is listed in my device manager however it is set as cd rom in the description, it also wont open and is not set as my default drive, any suggestions?

    windows 10 if that changes anything

    After installing W10 cd/dvd rom stopped working its not listed in device manager. I did a reinstall of rom hareware still nothing. In 'this pc' device and drives it shows cd drive I can click on it and say insert disk into cd drive E appears, still wont
    recognize any cd or dvd I insert. In the panel at top of window the green load bar runs.

    Processor is AMD Phenom(tm) llX61055T 2.80GHz

    Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5

    Also have problems maneuvering in bios, tried to change boot order was able to get into bios that was it.

    Does anyone know what I can do, seriously thinking about going back to W7?
