    GREEN CHECKS VS. BLUE CLOUDS

Hi I'm new to Personal Vault. I notice that I have some files that have green check marks next to them while others have a blue cloud. Can anyone explain what these mean and why some have checks while others have clouds? To my knowledge I haven't done anything differently with my files that show these two different symbols, hence my confusion. Thanks in advance!

    :)

  2. Darned green check marks adjacent to new saved documents

I've been reading the issues related to those green check marks in front of saved documents but solutions suggested are not working for me, and now I can't print a financial document - just view - and there is no issue with my printer connectivity because
I can print a test page via Windows and it prints fine. I could care less about the "cloud" for saving documents - I want to save documents ONLY to my PC which I back up manually.

How do I stop getting documents sent to the crazy "cloud" and just to my personal files on my PC ? Microsoft shouldn't be taking control of where I keep my files. I tried right clicking on the document to try to save it to my recent files list and I don't
get that option on the list provided. Can't get rid of the green arrows and can't print important documents.

How do I fix this ???????

Green checkmarks missing in OneDrive for Business

    Hi -

I'm a OneDrive for Business user, running Windows 10.

According to the blue icon in the taskbar, it appears that all my OneDrive files are in sync . However, when I look at the list of files in Microsoft Explorer, there are no green checks to confirm their synced status. I have followed advice in previous posts
on this problem, including this one from 2015:

The reason could be if the settings is disabled in registry. I suggest you to download Autoruns from the link below.Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals

    Then follow the steps below.

    • Eexecute the Autoruns and from the program look for the entries that say OneDrive1, OneDrive2 and OneDrive3 in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers.
    • Check all three boxes. If you are asked to Run As Administrator (UAC), agree and continue.
    • Start OneDrive again.
    • Your folders will show the green checkmarks now.

It didn't work. There were no OneDrive entries under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers. (see screen shot below)

Any other advice please? I like to see the green checks there as proof that my files definitely are in the cloud. I don't really want to mess around with the registry again as I'm way out of my depth.

    Thanks.

    Green checks Annoying

    Hi Im10eight,

I will need more information about the green check marks that you see on your desktop. Kindly answer the following questions:

    • Can you tell me the current OS Build of your Windows 10 system? You can find this information by clicking the
      Start button, type
About your PC, press Enter, and then scroll down to
      Windows specifications.
    • When did the issue start?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • Can you send me a
      screenshot
of the issue? Please do not include any personal information in your screenshots.

While we wait for your response, I suggest performing a clean boot to determine if the green check marks are due to a software conflict. A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate
software conflicts that occur when you use your Windows device. For the steps on how to perform a clean boot in Windows 10, please refer to this
support article. You can also watch our
    for more details.

IMPORTANT: Please go to the section:
Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting to boot the PC in normal startup after fixing the issue.

We're looking forward to your reply.
