  1. Green Screen Reboots after installing 2004 3x a day or more. kernal and usbxhci.sys

Since upgrading, too late to turn back.. 16 day limit I've been experiencing a bunch of crashes related to the NTOSKRNL module. I've pulled my memory.dmp and the mini dumps and posted them to onedrive if support needs them, as well as any exports from drivers using Nirsoft.

In a nut shell, it looks like it's between NTOSKRNL and the Intel usb3 module USBXHCI.sys. Everything else I've resolved by upgrading SSD Firmware and drivers from other venders. I do have NVIDIA and I'm up to date on their drivers. I am getting a bunch of ESENT errors as well, but I don't think it's related. I've done the memtest and that has no errors.

If there is anything extra I can do, please let me know.

Here is a summary of the latest dumps, including frequency.

  2. Green screen

    Hi Nancy,

The issue you are experiencing may be due to a corrupted software or a hardware failure on the computer. However, we need to perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate the cause of this concern. Before we proceed, may we know the following:

    • What were you doing when you encountered the green screen?
    • Did you make any changes on the computer prior to this problem?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Are you also getting any error messages when experiencing the green screen? If so, can you send us a screenshot?
Note: Please do not include any personal information.

  3. green screens

Since I upgraded to windows 10. I'm getting green screens on IE, Firefox, Microsoft edge videos and on some movie apps. But not on Google Chrome.I have tried all the community step by step suggestive, instructions. But the problem is still there. I understood
that Microsoft is having some issues with windows 10. Is that a fact? .

  4. Green Screen Reboots after installing 2004 3x a day or more. kernal and usbxhci.sys

Blue Screen 1 to 3x per day

Hi Dave, thank you for the analysis!

Can i ask how you came to the conclusion of the SRTSP64.sys as the issue? As i am trying to dig into the issue i downloaded a viewer for the minidump files (bluescreen viewer from Nirsoft.net), and there are a bunch of drivers listed.

This tool identified the file CmgFFE.sys (dell data encryption) as the culprit. I don't know the criteria the program used to identify that file but it has a column labeled "Caused by Driver", and lists that driver.

I do see the SRTSP64.sys driver in the driver list for the dump.

This blue screen viewer program is from 2015 so i don't put much stock in its results.

I have disabled Symantec, and so far no BSOD this morning.

    thanks

    Larry
