    Grey highlighted text appearing in my search bars and around any text I type.


    Hi there,

    I'm having a bit of an issue on my Windows 10 computer where any text I type, and any search bars I open, have a small two space wide grey box in them.
    I have attached pictures to show what I mean, I'm not sure how its happened but it is becoming rather annoying.

    It also happens when I click in parts of a word, it will highlight the letters after.

    No more "Search" on highlighted text?

    Hello,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused. There is no option to search on the highlighted text in Microsoft Edge. I would suggest you to use Internet Explorer so that you can use the search option on the highlighted text.

    No more "Search" on highlighted text?

    In the last few version of Windows you have been able to highlight a bit of text within the browser and right click to see the context menu and choose "Search" to search the internet with that text. In the Desktop versions of the older browsers (Windows
    7 and 8) you would see lots of possible options on that context menu, and in the Modern browser in Windows 8 you would just see "Search".

    With Edge I don't see that. I have to manually Copy, then Paste the text into the address line to search.

    Am I missing something? Has this feature been lost? If so, that's a big backwards step! Many times every day I need to highlight some text on my screen and search for it.

    Title Bar Text Gets Highlighted

    I don't know how or why this annoying problem started but every title bar of Apps which I am using gets highlighted, like this:

    I don't remember to have put any customization on top of vanilla Windows 10. The problem is better described by this:

    As soon as I click out of focus, the text has this strange highlight effect! What am I doing wrong? How to fix this?
