Windows 10: Grey out printer so cant be selected

Hi,I have multiple printers installed on my windows 11 platform.There is a printer called Ricoh called GelSprinter GX e7700N. I have another printer setup Vinnies Printer - Powerdriver R GXe7700n.Now I really only want the Vinnies printer to be used as the power driver links up automatically the GelSprinter and does its own internal modification to the printing. What i have is errors if people select the GelSprinter directly and bad results. Is there a way I can grey out or have it so the GelSprinter option can not be selected and printed to. But it needs to be an active printer on the sys

hp printers have the most expensive ink of all printers, the most economical is cannon and epson so i suggest if you looking to keep costs down look at those brands.

that being said it may not have the best print quality if it uses less costly ink.

if keeping cost down is the most important then shop in reverse, find a brand that has cheap replacement ink cartridges then see what printers they are used on. then from that list look to see if you like any of those printers and if they are affordable to you, if not then select another ink cartridge and look at the printers that those are used on. this method will give you the most affordable printer and the cheapest cost of replacement ink.

No Scroll Printer Selection

Windows 10, Dell desktop PC. Sometimes when I select to print a document, the small, square print window that comes up has a single 'General' tab at the top. The selections are listed 3 per column. Out of that big long list, there are only 2 printers I
have used so far, Microsoft Print to PDF, and our Ricoh printer. As it happens, each is at opposite ends of that long list and it seems as if every time I wish to print, I need the printer that doesn't show. That requires me to scroll to the other printer.
Is it possible to edit/adjust the names of these printers so they appear next to each other and scrolling isn't required? All suggestions, ideas, comments any wish to offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K.

 

printer selection will not go away


On my system, all the printers that show up in Devices and Printers are listed as selections for printing anything. If you don't want them listed, I think you have to remove them from Devices and Printers.
