Windows 10: Grey screen and cursor only and ctrl alt del doesn't work? What happened?

After accidentally spamming the mouse on roblox because it wouldn't open and I was not in a great mood, every app shortcut I had was glitching out with a black square on it and then my computer went Grey. Ctrl alt delete doesnt work and my mouse is there. Every so often razer starts up and then dissapears. Help!

CTRL + ALT + DEL menu not rendered at the top


Okay first of all.

It is DEFINITELY not a RAM problem. I have 16GB. The operating system is running in the background and is responding when I press CTRL + ALT + DEL, cause you can see the circle next to the cursor. The cursor responds as well..

Second, some people suggested me to use CTRL + SHIFT + ESC, I have not tried, but I will. Also this is not my problem. My problem is that the CTRL ALT DEL menu among which you can chose to turn on the task manager gives me black screen. Alt tabbing does not work with ANY software that is frozen in fullscreen, but that is normal.

On windows 7 this was not an issue. When nothing worked, ctrl alt del always worked.

On windows 10, CTRL alt deleting does not work, with some full screen applications.

 

Ctrl+Alt+Del lag?

All of a sudden, nothing has changed, but when I use the Ctrl+Alt+Del shortcut, my mouse cursor disappears and it after 2 or 3 seconds screen goes black and then after another 2-3 seconds the blue screen with the options like log out, task manager etc appears.

If I hit Task manager, same thing happens. It takes like 5 seconds for it to pop up and there is a periodic black screen in the middle of the operation.

What could be causing this?

Edit: if I hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC (Task manager shortcut), it's instant.

So it's something to do with that blue screen. It never did it before.. should I be worried?

 

Ctrl Alt Del, Vista

The whole Ctrl+Shift+Esc should be used to get that crazy screen with those options and Ctrl+Alt+Del should bring up TM.
