Windows 10: Greyed out camera in hidden devices

So Asus zenbook asus ux425ja laptop that i have the camera is greyed out on hidden devices And when i click on camera it says thisI know laptops have that camera key on the keyboard to turn it on and off but when i click on it nothing comes up on screen telling me camera is on/off but the mouse has this blue circle on it that appears for a second then goes away which does nothing I want to know what is the problem with it and how do i fix it?Heres a link to the msinfo32 thats on my laptop: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aj3915ZuCfA6nT8lvV0LauCS9pH-

Camera / Webcam not on device manager list - Windows 10

Please check if it is listed under Hidden device.

1. Press WINDOWS + X

2. Click on "Device Manager"

3. Click on "View"

4. Click on "Show Hidden device"

If it is listed now, please uninstall and reinstall it following this steps:

1. Click on "Camera"

2. Right click on your camera

3. Click on "Uninstall device"

4. Click on "Detects Hardware change" (monitor icon)

 

NoCamerasAreAttached, 'HD Camera' device greyed out, hidden

I am having the same issue with my web cam. I have tried everything above, but the web cam is still not found. For some reason the web cam is "Hidden" in my Device Manager. I had to select the View tab and then "Show Hidden Devices" in order to find
the Camera. I see the "HP Wide Vision HD", but the camera icon is grayed out. I own the OMEN by HP - 17-w210nr and it has the camera built in. So I do not understand why it is no longer working.

Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

Device can be disconnected when

• Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
• Turning a device OFF
• Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
• Device failure

So

• Check BIOS as suggested
• Check board connections
• Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?

Also possible the b/t h/w failed
