Windows 10: Groove .. is it a joke?

Somehow I managed to focus on Groove that has been suggested to me instead of my usual choice - Winamp - when opening FLAC file. Groove has good sound, I must say, but the rest is simply unacceptable.
It insists on having the Album named inside the file tag, so I have lot of albums named Unknown, or Greatest Hits. This is somehow connected to the choice of Album Art, so I have Demis Roussos Greatest Hits album tagged by Nice Cover Art of Smokie Greatest Hits. LOL. No way to create my own playlist. That is, I can create one, but I was unable to fill it with particular songs, because Groove insisted that I should add it from the album list, but my songs were not listed in the album list. And there are many other flaws. Simply - If I was the one that created this beast, I would commit sepuka.

What is Groove / Store's music file format and is it lossless?

I have no objection to 320kbs mp3 lossy in principle except it should be cheaper than the lossless (which is why I still buy CDs and rip them).

I found, and have posted a q elsewhere, that Windows 10 support for flac is not complete. It will not downconvert / transcode when syncing to Windows Phone so I still can't use WMP as my music system which is frustrating.

Whenever I've purchased music from the Store, the only option given is MP3 at 320 kbps; i.e. a lossy format. This may change in the future, but I'm not holding my breath. As far as I know, Microsoft has not announced any plans to offer lossless formats as
an option, despite Windows 10 now supporting FLAC format natively.

When I want lossless, I purchase it elsewhere and add it manually into my library.

 

What - you replaced Winamp with Groove? Really?
