    How to enable Groove Music announcing next playing song?

    Hi. I am using Groove Music to play my downloaded songs. I know that the online service doesn't work anymore, I didn't even use the online service, eighter. But, I have bunch of songs downloaded to my machine, and organised into few playlists, which I am playing on shuffle, so I can expect always different mix from otherwise ordered playlist. However, what frustrates me, is lack of system announcement about next song currently playing. Let me explain: A song just finished playing and a next one starts to play. But I can only guess what song is playing by listening without opening the Groove Music window in front. Sometimes, I have no idea. Can I somehow enable system announcement about next song played? And can I supress the announcement sound effect somehow for just one app, or do I need to edit sound effect globally and remove the announce sound from settings?

  3. Using Groove music in win 10, remove a song from playlist does not remove it

    That will remove a song if you are in playlist mode, but it really does not work from a practical perspective.

    I'm listening to a playlist. I want to remove a song.

    The playlist shows, BUT the song that is being played does not show on the screen, where the list of songs is, the playlist is just shown, looks like from the beginning.

    So, if you hit select now, there is no way to "find" the song..

    If you hit "now playing", then indeed the song will show up in the list, and then you can hit the select, get the check boxes, BUT now the option to remove from the playlist is NOT shown, you can only DELETE the song.

    The problem is that you cannot get the song that is playing to the select list without hitting the now playing button, and then you have apparently shifted from the playlist view to the now playing view, and you don't have the context of the playlist to
    remove the song...

    It's a terrible user interface and makes the playlist a joke.

    I'll mess around with it some more, but this should be a simple, intuitive operation, not an exercise in computer science against a flawed user interface.

    Thanks for your suggestion, I will see if there is some way to "trick" groove music.

    Can't play songs from Groove Music Pass, error 0x80070002


    Hello, I need some help with Groove. Suddenly it stopped working and wont play any song that comes with the Groove Pass. When I try to play a song it loads for a moment and then a message error appears that says: “Can't Play The item is missing or we can't get to it. 0x80070002”.

    It only happens with music included in the Groove Pass, no matter if the song has downloaded in my PC or playing via streaming, it gives me the same error. Songs from Onedrive or local files work fine.
    I have tried to repair this issue using methods like:

    • Uninstalling the app with Cccleaner, Powershell script and manually (getting ownership of WindowsApps folder and deleting all Zune Music folders).
    • Re-registering the app with PowerShell
    • Deleting files in Temp Folder.
    • Using Windows Update and Windows Apps troubleshooter (this was the worst one, it broke other apps)

    I added an account without a Groove Pass and it can play all the previews fine. I think that the problem is
    not the music files but the “thing” that checks if my subscription is valid, it probably became damaged.

Via iTunes export your playlist in .m3u format, as long as you are "watching" a directory with an .m3u they will auto-magically show up in Groove Music. I did have to reset the app to make it look in that directory again, but it worked for me....
