    Groove Music won't start with one User Profile in W10Home-64bit


    Hi,

    When upgrading to W10-Home a month or so back, a few apps would not start (Groove Music, Films & TV, Store) - the others were quickly fixed with cumulative Windows Updates - but Groove Music will not start for my own User Profile (which is an @outlook.com login.)

    I've tried it on the other two User Profiles I have on the PC - one is also an @Outlook.com login, the other is a local account.

    Tried Googling around, and a few things - but no luck.

    Short of deleting my user account and profile (not even sure how to make sure that is cleanly removed) - has this been a common issue, and is there a fix? There is no error - just click the icon in Start Menu, and nothing happens.

    Groove Music is blocking playback of MP3's for some copyright holders

    This is really weird: Why in the world does Groove Music App block some music tracks held by the copyright holder through some sort of legal mumbo jumbo agreement between Microsoft's Groove Music service and the copyright holder. This is ridiculous.
    If the user of their PC running Groove Music App want to play their MP3's from their local drive, there is no reason why Groove Music should block playback. For example, I wanted to play a couple of popular oldies tunes by Roy Orbison and I got a message
    on Groove Music App that there is an agreement with the copyright holder that does not allow playback of these tunes. Absolutely ridiculous. I won't be using Groove Music App to play my MP3's on my local drive. Totally useless music app for my needs. Thanks

    [Solved] Several apps crash at start

    The issue should be started in these couple of days. When starting the app, the app exits immediately.

    Crashing apps includes:

    - Store

    - Groove Music

    - Films & TV

    - Camera

    - News

    - Sports

    I tried clearing the profile by renaming

    C:\Users\martin\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    C:\Users\martin\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ZuneVideo_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    However, it does not help. Any idea?
