Maybe this is more of a request then a question? Maybe that is the question?

I want to group my photos by Date Taken, down to the day. Windows seems to organize the photos based on what ever they have believed to be useful. Which is Today, Yesterday, Earlier this week, Last week, Earlier this month. These are great but definitely not at the granular level I need. Does anyone know of a way to get it down to the day?

    :)

  2. Group photos by date

When I try to group photos by date taken, all I get is 3 categories: Last Month, Earlier This Year, and A Long Time Ago. How do I get the photos grouped by actual date taken?

I suggest you to follow the below steps for sorting the pictures in date wise and check if it helps.

    • Go to “file explorer” and open it.
    • Right click on the picture screen.
    • Click on “group by” option and go to more options.

Grouping pictures by month or actual date in Windows 10

    Hello forums,

I want to group pictures in a folder by month or actual date taken. However, when I group them by
date - descending what actually transpires is that the pictures are organized into two unhelpful categories:
Earlier this year and A long time ago. I would like the pictures to be arranged by the month (ex 5 photos taken in November, 23 photos taken in October, etc.) or actual date (ex. 2 photos taken on October 29, 2015.)

This is what it looks like. I would like the categories to change.
