Windows 10: Group Policy - Disable Let Windows Manage My Default Printer AND prevent Re-Enable

I know that I can navigate to:User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Printersand enable:Turn off Windows default printer managementbut this does not prevent users, applications, things from re-enabling it.Is it possible to prevent this setting from being modified?

Group Policy and the Default Printer

I work at a library and we have computers for our patrons. I have manually installed 2 local printers, "a" and "b", on these public computers. They both use LPT1 as their port and they are not shared.

I have created entries in Group Policy to delete unneeded printers, such as "Fax" and "Microsoft Print to PDF", on the public computers. I created these entries in Computer Configuration-Preferences-Control Panel Settings-Printers and these entries have
deleted the unneeded printers.

I simply want to use Group Policy to designate printer "a" as the default printer. I suppose that I should create an entry for "a" in User Configuration-Preferences-Control Panel Settings-Printers and use the "Update" action but I want to be sure.

How do I use Group Policy to designate a default printer?

How to disable the "Let Windows Manage my default Printer" from group policy for all users? anyone have any ideas how this works with windows 10?

Please answer the below questions for the better understanding of the issue.

1. Do you mean that whenever you used to set the default printer in the Start > Settings > Devices, after any update windows used to reset the setting and this time after the anniversary update, when you try to set the default printer again, you are facings
some group policy error. Is that correct?

2. Also, what is the make and model of the computer?
