  1. [GS70 2QE] No sound - Tried everything, reinstalling bios/drivers/windows!

    Hi!

I'm trying to solve a sound problem on which I actually tried everything.

Long story short, I started with the Realtek drivers, then restore windows to a previous saving point, updating the bios from E1773IMS.10A to E1773IMS.110, then deciding to go all in and to reinstall windows while deleting everything.

    Nothing worked.

    Can anybody help me?

  2. Sound doesn't work - but driver won't reinstall

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern, I would suggest you to go to the device manager and check if the sound drivers are installed. If installed please update the drivers and check.

    Step 1:

    • Press Windows key + X.

    • Click on Device Manager, expand “sound, video and game controllers”
and check if any sound drivers are installed.

    • If yes, right click on the driver and hit update.
Or else go the manufacturer website and install the latest driver.

Step 2: Also run hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

    • Click on Troubleshooting tab.

    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

    • Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
    Hope it helps.

  3. Windows 10 Pro Black Screen on Shutdown (MSI GS70 2QE)

As said in the title I have an MSI GS70 2QE gaming notebook. Windows 10 however, will not shut down. When I choose "Shut Down" from the start menu, it shows the usual screen but proceeds to not shut off after the screen fades to black. what happens is after
the fade the computer does not turn off, but the display is blank while outputting an enormous amount of heat as the fans hit almost max speed without fully turning off. I have done a clean boot, disabled hibernation, disabled fast startup, and run the troubleshooter
to no avail. If anyone could point me in the right direction of a fix that would be great.

    Specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i7-4710HQ
