What device did you install the Windows 7 drivers for?

or, do the drivers show up in Programs and Features (type Programs into search and it comes up as a result)? If so, uninstall the drivers from there, then right click on the topmost entry of device manager and Scan for new hardware.

These are the INF Chipset Drivers that I installed. I got the installer file from Gigabyte but i'm sure they got it from Intel. Anyway, the file extracts to a directory that looks like the screen shot below. It is installed by clicking the setup file and takes several minutes to complete. I've never installed chipset drivers any other way though normally when i install a driver i prefer to do it via the Device Manager rather than some setup file. I simply don't know how to use the DM to install chipset drivers.

Chipset drivers will affect a whole number of hardware devices, so about the only way to get them uninstalled would be if the setup program created an entry in Programs and Features that you could uninstall from there. You can see some Intel drivers on my example below. Other than that, you're just going to have to hope the existing drivers keep working or the possibility of automatic updates coming through normal Windows update.

I agree it looks like a one way street with the chipset driver install other perhaps then a restore point or prior image. The setup did not leave an entry in Programs and Features. I suppose the other way would be if Microsoft made a stand alone exe installer for the chipset driver version 10.0.14393.0 that Windows 10 installs. I haven't heard of that. Let me know if you think that is available.
    Thanks for your help!

Just following up FBO anyone who is following this thread. Please see my update at post #10 which contains new information and the solution to the problem identified in the opening post. Thanks to those who helped out with this. Problem solved and without having to update chipset (INF) drivers!
