Windows 10: Guys I need BIG help… my PC is totally stuck

I was extracting a big .RAR of 14gb (Football Manager faces for those who knows the struggle…). After WinRAR ended the process the copying started but got stucked on calculating and not a single file was copied.

So I decided to simply cancel the transfer. After that, my windows explorer wasn’t working, the taskbar was there but nothing on it and wasn’t responding : not a big deal.

I just restarted my computer and then after that I got stuck on the « welcome » screen after entering my password everytime. I had to manually turn off my PC 5 or 6 times in a row with the same result. I tried to use safe mode (after watching a popular YouTube video about that problem) and SAME, couldn’t pass the « welcome » even on safe mode… Internet connection was off, I unplugged all USB that could cause the issue too.

Sooo… I launched a simple restore from a saving point from 2 days ago and now I am stuck on « restoring files… » with a green bar going from left to right… since 2 hours (the whole process of my issue last for 6 hours now).

That is crazy. Anybody have any idea on what would solve the issue ? Thanks a LOT in advance…

@smoka Great you fixed it and would be interesting to know how you did it. Care to list the basic steps you took to do it so that it can help others stuck in the same situation?

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
