Why won't my Nvidia GeForce GT 710 video card recognize my 2nd and 3rd monitors?

    Hi Cary,

It is possible that this is an issue with the graphics device driver. To properly isolate this issue, we have some questions for you:

    • Have you tried pressing the Windows key + P and extend or duplicate the display?
    • Have you tried checking for the latest graphics device driver update from the manufacturer?
    • Have you tried contacting the graphics device manufacturer for assistance in setting up multiple monitors

In addition, you can check A_User_Here and Deepak Kodi's post on this
    link for additional information.

We're looking forward to your response.

  3. Why won't my Nvidia GeForce GT 710 video card recognize my 2nd and 3rd monitors?

Why won't my Nvidia GeForce GT 710 video card recognize my 2nd and 3rd monitors? I have disabled the default display and changed the BIOS to start with PCI. I now get video when I connect my main monitor to the video card but the other 2 monitors display
    no signal.

I've attempted to Detect the other monitors in Settings but it doesn't see them. I am on Windows 10.

The minimum recommended wattage on your PSU for both cards is 300 Watts. I guess in theory it should work the same as the old one but you may want to consider buying a stronger PSU. Also, the card that came with that tower is low profile, so make sure the replacement card is as well.

  5. Yeah, I'll get the low profile version. The old card though was working but it was always showing a VBIOS error on startup, which I assume was not because of the low PSU because the fan on the card was working. I gotta be 100% that it will work!

    GT 710 20 w
    GT 730 25 w
So yes, that should work OK. Obviously you need suitable dimensions to fit in the box.
There should not be a PSU issue as power consumption maybe less than the original.

  7. Any PCI-e card will work okay with that motherboard. There's nothing to worry about your power supply. I've had the same motherboard and used two cards (GeForce 210 and HD 5450) with 250W with identical specs.

  10. So, that one draws less power and it's faster? Also, what about the GT 730 K version of it? Amazon.com: MSI Computer N730K-2GD3H/LP NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card: Computers & Accessories

  11. It's not that it's less faster but it should still be sufficient for your system. Avoid any DDR5 version of entry-level GPUs.

Speaking of GT 710, here's a reason why you shouldn't even try to buy the GT 710.

  12. Well, the most intense game I'll be playing will probably CS:GO, as long as it runs that on decent fps, I'm fine with it.
Why avoid any (G)DDR5 versions? My motherboard is too old and doesn't support them?

GYGABYTE GT 710 video card on MSI MS-7525 motherboard?

As far as I know, the type of VRAM on a graphics card is completely invisible to the motherboard. The only problem I see with GT 710 cards at newegg.com is that GDDR5 cards tend to be considerably more expensive than GDDR3 ones. (I doubt that there's a significant performance gain with GDDR5.)

I worry a little with low-end nVidia cards because of their tendency to re-label old products. However, according to Wikipedia, the GT 710 is a "Kepler" card. The technology is nearly four years old, but it's still supposedly does DirectX 11.1 in hardware. That's not bad. It is also supported by the latest nVidia drivers.

  14. Now I changed my mind and I'm thinking about getting the MSI GeForce GT730K LP since it's for about the same price and I believe it's a little bit better than the 710. It even supports DIrectX 12. I read a review on amazon, a guy said he even ran the card on a 250 W PSU with no problems, though I know it depends on if you're gaming or not and on your other hardware, but I think I'm in the safe zone with my 270 W one.

  15. 300W is for more breathing room for more powerful components. Yours isn't going to make that much power and 270W is safe.
