Windows 10: Hacked account - They changed security settings and now past 30 days window

Hi Microsoft community,Please can someone help me retrieve my hacked account post 30days.Disclaimer: I rarely use email these days especially this old account which is why I didn't notice the account security changes in my inbox originally.I found out today my old skype account A had been hacked and has prevented me from using OneNote and Skype. I tried repeatedly to login in with previous passwords but with no success and which then sent me to submit an online account recovery request, because the recovery email address X on your system was not created by me and I had never seen it bef

My email account has been hacked. I thought changing my password would be helpful but have been informed that updating my security info takes 30 days before I go in and change anything. Is there a way around this or is my only alternative to shut down
the account completely and get a new address.

 

Account is hacked and locked for 30 days but hackers have just added another email.

My main microsoft account was hacked on Thursday. I was locked out and couldnt change the password, something to do with 2 step verification. I have had to create a new account so i can post on here

I spoke to Microsoft who then did something to the account preventing me and the hacker accessing the account for 30 days.

But about 20 mins ago i got an email from Microsoft saying that security info was added to the account. This is a 2nd email from the hacker that has been added even though i was told nobody would be able to access the account.

Can anybody help. I cant reset the password etc, how are they still accessing the account?

Hi Sharon,

Yes, it takes 30 days to update the security information for your account.

However you can still change the password. After 30 days you will receive an email to confirm security info change. Once you confirm it, then it will be changed.
