Windows 10: Hacking problems etc.

I just posted about hacking problems generally these days in the Chillout Room, which then made me wonder if there are any technical ways of stopping hacking etc. anyway... "I don't know about anyone else but quite honestly now we're really in the George Orwell sick hacking world and Big Brother etc., I've started to wonder just how the best bits of both old pre PC and new worlds could possibly be kept and the rest junked. Because over the last month my home phone and ancient mobile have been hacked though thankfully my pc is fine. I doubt there is any solution, but it would be interesting to hear what others think and what could be pruned out anyway though I think it's already too late for the average man in the street."

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Email Hacked

thank you for your response and the great information you provided.

I use two step authentication for my email account and all important web sites. I also use the full version of Malwarebytes to protect my computer.

But I will do the scans you suggested AdwCleaner and Limewire.com and let you know the results.

I am worried though that the webcam installed on my laptop could have been hacked. I never use it and forgot about it, so never disabled it.

Any suggestions as to find if it was actually hacked?

77000 Steam accounts hacked every month

Ironically I've had the same crappy password since I made my Steam when HL2 came out and never been hacked, but I've had my Origin account jacked twice with a much more complicated password. 2 step on Origin fixed this problem, but just thought it was kind of funny. I went with 2 step on Steam to be safe too.
