ok, drivers were all f'd in the g's a. fixed them with the good old fashioned method of uninstalling everything in device manager and rebooting. worked like a charm, or so i thought. as expected, windows automatically detected and installed all of my components. everything seemed cool until i had to reboot again. windows hello facial recognician failed at the lock screen. upon further investigation in settings>accounts>sign-in options I received the message "We couldn't fimd a camera compatable with windows hello face." Well, ****? I went to HP, Ms, Realtek& Intel to figur out who had the driver. Ms and Intel were no help. hp had a generic driver that I alresdy had. Realtek had two drivers, this one:

    <DriverDescription>Realtek DMFT - IR</DriverDescription>

    and this one:

    Facial recognition

    Hello Bill,

We need to do further investigation on your concern so that we will know why the facial recognition quit working:

    • Have you recently made any changes/updates prior to this issue?
    • Is there an error message when you try to sign using facial recognition?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

In the meantime, I would suggest that you perform the troubleshooting steps in this
    article.

We will wait for your response.

    Regards.
