Windows 10: Had to install new motherboard. Constant Intel MEIx64 Errors causing hangs and slow shut...

I recently had to do a clean install of Windows 10 on this PC. It's a fairly old system, and I have had to buy a used motherboard to replace my last one. I did find a bent pin, but I bent it back, and I dont think it was anything that wasn't redundant. Everything worked fine kinda I did have some MEIx64 errors but no hang ups like now after I installed that mobo and reinstalled windows, then one day everything was super slow so I did a clean install. Fast forward to now, I keep getting an MEIx64 error 3 kind of around the same time. Around 2pm and again around 9pm. Specifically this :"The de

Windows Update just installed this update:

Inter-Other Hardware- Intel(R) Management Engine Interface

Successfully installed on 8/20/2015

This update causes constant MEIx64 Event Codes 1,3 and 4 to be written to the System Event Log. I am running a clean install of Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 8700 computer. I noticed this problem last week while installing these drivers from the Dell website
so I reinstalled WIndows 10 purposely avoiding this update. I reported the problem to Dell but I think they ignored it. How can I remove this update.

Windows Update doesn't give me the option to remove it.

I have done the steps listed above. They have not helped and I am still getting constant script errors, along with slow loading pages. Are there any other suggestions?

Method 1:

Try to run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption.
SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.

• Press Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
  
  sfc /scannow

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

Method 2:

You may check the same issue with the new user account.

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
• Select Add an Account.
• Enter a user name and hit Next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
• Check if issue persists.
