    Hello, I'm currently having a consistent problem with hal.dll causing a BSOD at odd times and I'm not sure what keeps triggering it. It happens when I play high end games, low end games, no games, have my web browser up or don't have anything running at all. CPU/GPU temps have been well within margin and power supply is more than ample for the task. I'm running out of options and its frustrating me to have it crash and corrupt something I'm working on in Photoshop or in the middle of a game like it did just yesterday.


    Any help in understanding this I would appreciate.

    HAL DLLs error on XP

    Sorry for my noobness but I didnt really understand completely what HAL is ,but
    to cut to the chase, is it a harware or sofware problem I am having?

    What I understood is that HAL helps my computer comunicate with the other components.

    The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
    There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.
