Windows 10: half grey screen on search result page from the taskbar

Recently i realized - on clicking searching in taskbar/ or by clicking the windows key and writing something on keyboard to directly go on the search page of the laptop, it shows me half grey screen initially.

On clicking the upper half, it becomes full page like how it is actually supposed to be like. there is an error this way because this does not seem normal. Kindly help somebody.

Here you can see, it just shows half greyed out page without even giving me the option to view the entire search result.




on clicking on the upper half, it gets converted to full page like how it should be normally.... if i go back to search again on the search bar - it will again become half greyed out and show half information.

Taskbar web search results

While it has nothing really to do with the taskbar, it just your web searches to return screen reader friendly results

From the Edge Webpage:

"Search for anything on the web or your device using the search box on the Windows taskbar. If you use a screen reader, follow these steps to make the web search results open in Internet Explorer instead of Microsoft Edge"

 

Disable Web Search Results in Windows 10 Start Menu

Disabling web results in the search box depends on the version and build of your Windows 10. We suggest checking the Windows 10 version and build installed on your computer. To check the version and build, follow the steps below:

• On Cortana search, type winver and press
  Enter.
• A pop-up box will appear containing the version and build of your operating system.

Meanwhile, you can try these steps on how to disable web results in the search box:

• Click the search box in the taskbar.
• Select the Notebook icon
  
  
  in the left pane.
• Click Settings from the list.
• In the Settings page, turn off the Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts and more option.
• Also, turn off the Search online and include web results option.

Taskbar search

Did not do anything to help. The search in File Explorer works fine. The first and last screen shot shows a search leading to no results but the file explorer finds them just fine. The last one shows my indexing options.
