Windows 10: Half-life 2 lagging at specific situations but system resources are nowhere near fully used

My half-life 2 runs really smooth. Most of the time I can't complain about its performance at all.I like creating .cfg scripts and run them in-game that do various kinds of stuff. One script I've created makes the view shake and tosses objects around resembling an earthquake. In most maps this script runs without any lag. But in some maps lag is so heavy that game almost resembles a rushed slideshow.I looked at Task Manager while game in windowed mode was running and saw that system resources weren't used fully. RAM usage was only at half, CPU usage graph going up and down like it always doe
