Windows 10: Half of my Keyboard stopped working

The right half of my keyboard suddenly stopped working this morning. Some keys on the right are still working but the majority aren't.I went to Device manager -> view -> show hidden devices and the hidden HID Keyboard device had a code 45 error device disconnected.First, I tried the troubleshooting option in the settings for the keyboard it couldn't detect anything. Then I tried the "msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic" command in an admin run Cmd and still nothing. Then I tried the "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" and the "sfc /scannow" but the problem wasn't fixed. So, I uninst

Window 10 Upgrade | Half of Keyboard Stopped Working

After installing Windows 10, half of the keyboard has stopped working. I have attempted all standard troubleshooting steps: uninstall/reinstall keyword from device manager, updating the driver/reboot, and searching Google for possible fixes. The keyboard
worked previously in Windows 7. No resolution has been found. Help?

I request you to use the On Screen Keyboard and check if that helps to login.

After you login, I request you to update the driver.

Uninstall and Reinstall the Keyboard Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Keyboard
Drivers

• 
  Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Keyboard
  from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
  from the computer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
  

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer
manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the
Keyboard and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

If you still have the issue, install the drivers in compatibility mode.

Download the drivers from manufacture's website for Windows 10, if there no drivers available for Windows 10, download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and
try installing it in compatibility mode.
Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

• Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
  ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
• Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Wired Keyboard and Mouse Stop Working - Windows 10

Wired Keyboard and Mouse Stop Working - Windows 10
I have an old Dell Studio that is running windows 10 ---

Ir has Windows 10 and SSD installed - to me it does what it needs to do but this darn mouse and keyboard stuff stopping working with no rhyme or reason is making me very frustrated.

Keyboard and Mouse are wired - NOT WIRELESS

• I cannot easily unplug and plug in the mouse/keyboard to get it going again... they are still lit up but they are dead basically and I have to do a hard reset.
  
• USB selective suspend is disabled.
• I checked the drivers for the keyboard and mouse and they are updated.
• I checked to see if PC has KB4074588 and it does not.

I am not sure what else to do.... I can go days without the issue and then days where anytime I step away from the PC it stops working.

I can say when it is working it just does not just stop ... only when I walk away and the machine is idle or the screen is locked.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
