Windows 10: Halo Combat Evolved / Custom Edition Don't Run Old Software

I recently installed an old software on my PC running Windows 11 Home 24H2 26100.3323: Halo: Combat Evolved for PC released on May 5, 2004. The issue is quite strange and has never happened to me before, I can't play or even open the game.When I try to launch it, a message appears: "Please login with administrator privileges."To fix this, I set the game to "Run as administrator" in its properties under Compatibility. I also went to Security, selected my account, clicked Edit, and checked all permission boxes. Now, the error message no longer appears, but the game still doesn't run, nothing

Hi, John here, I have searched through the Microsoft windows store app but I cannot find halo combat evolved or halo 2 for pc, is there any assistance I could have for buying both original combat evolved and halo 2? Any help would be appreciated.

• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

While researching I found that Halo Combat Evolved 2003, is an old game and only compatible till Windows XP, this could be the reason that you are facing issues. I suggest you to try installing the game in compatibility mode and see if that helps.
