Windows 10: Handwriting panel words won't display/ transfer to word or notepad.

Hi all,I used to use hand writing to input Asian and English in MS word or notepad, but in recent month, both of my surface pro 9 and Samsung Galaxy book 4 360 can hardly use the hand writing pad on the display. Firmware, drivers and windows update are all latestIn MS word O365, I wrote something on the touch screen and it won't input the word what had been recognize in writing pad. The pad delete button and next line/ enter button is working. When I encounter this issue, I have to reboot the whole laptop, sometime it will work but sometimes I need to reboot to make it works. Windows 11 Pro - Handwriting Panel Not Passing Input to Field

I have a Surface Pro 7+ and a surface pen with Windows 11 Pro running. The handwriting panel comes up as it is supposed to and recognizes my handwriting appropriately, but it does not transfer the recognized handwriting into the application.

I've tried a handful of applications (onenote, word, notepad) as well as native W11 input fields. The direct entry feature works for windows fields and some apps (W11 search fields, notepad, etc.) but it does not work through the handwriting panel.

Any thoughts?

Word/names lists not displaying properly in Notepad.

I have always copied lists of names from my Gmail account into Notepad for safe keeping. However, from about a week ago the names stopped displaying in list form. Instead they display horizontally across the page. Anytime this ever happened before I just
had to click on 'word wrap' to rectify it but not now. It's interesting to note that if I copy a list from Yahoo mail this problem doesn't occur. Has some change been made to Gmail?

 

Notepad to Word

in windows explorer, navigate to the document and right click on it

select open with

select word from the list

if word is not in the list select "choose another App"

click on More apps

and look for word in the extended list
