    Hard Disk C full but the files and folders do not add up to the complete space.


    My Laptop's Drive C has a total of 107 GB space and I keep getting an error that my space is almost up and I need to free up space. I have already deleted most of the extra stuff and even a number of software that I was not using actively but not much space was created. I checked the Drive C and all the folders on it add up to 68GB. But the disk keeps showing up as full. I am unable to understand where the space is being used up and how to free it so the device can function fully.

    Hard Disk C full but the files and folders do not add up to the complete space.

    Local Disk C: Space Issue

    The space is most likely the pagefile, the hibernation file, and System restore

    The Pagefile can be shrunk if needed in the control panel (wouldn't recommend doing that on windows 7/Vista though)

    The hibernation file can be removed but it will stop you using hibernate

    System restore can be removed with disk cleanup
