    Hard disk Drive D and E not visible. i didn't notice for few days because i was working o different software. i noticed today and its not visible. its also not visible in computer management.

    Hard disk Drive D and E not visible.

    I was out of station for a few days and now after I came back and booted my pc it was taking too long and after boot up there was only C drive visible in My explorer my D &E drives were not there. When I go into disk management the only drive that shows up is the C drive and 2 others that are called disk 0 partition 1 and disk 0 partition 2. I restarted and booted up again but still nothing changes. Is there any way to get it back without loosing data. Pls help

    Hi mafithak,

    Thanks for sending the screenshot.

    Depending on the screenshot, the computer only detects hard disk drive C. Therefore, make sure another hard disk is detected by BIOS, go to BIOS and check if the computer detects it or not. Remove the hard disk and reinstall it, then check if it would be detected or not.

    If possible, remove the hard disk and test it with another computer or hard disk docking in order to know whether it is damaged or not.

    Also, right-click on Start > Device Manager > Expand Disk Drives and check if its visible or not.

    Hard Drive Disks D: and E: suddenly dissapeared!

    Ok i tried all the steps to this but neither disk D: or E: appeared. Only C: is still there. Thanks though.
