    My hard disk has failed on my PC, It won’t boot because of this and I have to get a replacement from my PC’s company, however they told me I can pop in any other hard drive I have laying around to use my PC in the mean time.If I go out and buy a new SSD 1TB in replacement of my old SSD 800 GB will I have to buy a new liscence of Windows? I had Windows 11 prior to this happening with my hard disk and I’m not sure if I buy the new one my PC will recognize this and will instead make me buy a new liscence of Windows, If anyone has any advice please reply back, thankyou.

    windows 10 re-installation on a new hard disk

    Hi There,

    Last year I did free upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Now my hard disk is crashed and I am going to buy new hard disk drive. If I try to install Windows 10 on brand new Hard Disk Drive then I guess that it will ask for Windows 10 Product Key or Product
    Serial Number, which I don't have as my hard disk drive is crashed.

    How can I re-install Windows 10 on new Hard Disk drive without having Product Key or Product Serial Number?

    Failing hard disks cannot be repaired. They must be replaced.

    Hi

    I have the best spec PC I have ever had but Windows 8.1 seems to make it the slowest one. I am sick of Windows 8.1, I honestly think Vista performed better, I am prepared to give Win 10 one last chance before I give up on Windows and buy a MAC.

    What I want to do is buy a new Hard Disk for my current laptop and do a clean install of the Windows 10 upgrade (I am thinking this will give Windows 10 the best chance to succeed )

    Please no complicated answers

    Will I be able to do a clean install on a new hard disk on my P7 laptop .

    If so Step by Step simple instructions on how it can be done please

    I live in hope of a simple answer from Microsoft
