    Hard disk running near 100% after KB5012599 install on April 13, 2022


    Yesterday update KB5012599 was installed automatically on 2 of my PCs, currently running Windows 10 PC V21H2, build 19044.1645. After multiple reboots, the hard disk is still running at close to 100% capacity on both PCs. It should be running under 10% when I'm not doing anything. One of the PCs is unusable. Most of the disk action is from System no details displayed in Task Manager and Norton Security. Even Registry is showing disk activity, and PowerAlert Engine, and more. Prior to the update, both PCs were running perfectly. I uninstalled the update from the unusable PC, but it is still d

    Clean install, disk usage at 100%

    I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.

    Hard Drive constantly at or near 100% read/write

    Thanks for the suggestion. I see very little activity in the Network tab. I hope this helps.

    Disk always running at or near 100 - Windows 10

    The same thing happens to me. 100% disk usage since 2016.09.18.

    Made the same steps you did, nothing has changed.
