Windows 10: Hard disk suddenly disappeared. No visible Local Drives in My PC. Please Help

Hey there!

My Laptop (ASUS TUF FX 504 GD) worked alright 2 days ago. Yesterday when I switched it on, I didn't see any local drives that were allocated on HDD.

My OS is on an SSD so the computer boots up just fine. I also cannot see the HDD in BIOS as well. It can read the other connected devices such as pen drives etc.

I tried removing and reconnecting the HDD. I also tried switching between different BIOS versions. None of these solved my problem.

Also, My HDD didn't give me any trouble earlier. One day it was working alright and the next day, BOOM! It suddenly disappeared.

Please guys, I have important data on it. I would appreciate any kind of help.

Game Crashes and Hard drive suddenly disappears

This is a problem that i have been facing for a couple of days. My [Local Disk : D] keeps on disappearing while the others are present. I am using this drive as a Secondary Hard disk. When this drive disappears, I do the following steps:

-Right Click on My Computer

-I choose ''Manage''

-Disk Management and ''Re-scan''

After this, my secondary hard disk tends to appear again, but whenever I try to use any program on this drive, Hard disk again disappears. When I check for errors by right clicking on this drive, [1024] appears and system freezes for few seconds.

Following error occurs when I play Battlefield 4:[game is also installed in this directory]

URGENT HELP NEEDED! HDD suddenly became blank!

Hey there, @Shamonto Hasan Easha!

I'd try re-plugging the hard drive and checking if the cable is damaged. I'd also suggest to try plugging the drive in another computer and see if it gets recognized properly there. Is it a IDE or SATA drive you're using?
If the drive is unallocated, this means that the partition has been lost after the power went down.

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
