Windows 10: Hard drive and bootable pendrive not showing in boot menu!

I bought a new hard drive for my Acer aspire 3 laptop because the old one was damaged. And when I tried to install windows on it, the hard drive is not showing in the boot menu. see picture 1But the hard drive is showing in the 'Information tab' as the 2nd picture.also, my bootable pendrive is not showing in boot menu.Why is that?Please help me if anyone can. Thanks.

Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

Have a similiar situation using a DiamondMax Plus 8, 20GB Mfg Date 4/15/03. Drive used as a second system drive. Drive is recognized in boot menu but not in drive list. Drive is always connected. Computer started locking up for several seconds at a time. Chkdsk on drives and couldn't find that drive. Removed drive from bay to make sure connections were ok and heard the beeping. Shutdown and restart and never got to windows screen. Restarted several times then saw drive in boot menu and Windows loaded but Maxtor not in drive menu. When recognized in boot menu, computer will start but beeps and is not found.

Tried kicking it real hard but no improvement. Any suggestions?

 

internal hard drive problem

Some days earlier, laptop was working completely fine, and then there was some Windows 10 update, and now my hard drive makes clicking sound, and its "missing OS" on boot up. It's still being detected in Boot menu, hence ensured that there's no hardware
problem, I made my pendrive bootable with Ubuntu setup, a solution I generally apply to detect any problems, and now the hard drive isnt listed in disks menu in ubuntu, instead its some loop device of 998mb, namely filesystem.squashfs , hard drive was 250gb,
and its unable to format or modify its extensions, please help.
