  2. Non system disk in system image

I trying to create system image in Windows 10. Chose where I want to save the backup, after that system shows to me what drives will be backed up:

    EFI System Partition

Game_Storage (EHard drive crashed non system have multiple disks on system image. :) (System)

    Recovery Partition (System)

(CHard drive crashed non system have multiple disks on system image. :) (System)

Problem is that Game_Storage (EHard drive crashed non system have multiple disks on system image. :) is not system disk. I don't have boot or any system files on it< and don't want to backup it.

But I can exclude this disk from list, and free space on storage disk nor enough in this case. How I can remove Game_Storage (EHard drive crashed non system have multiple disks on system image. :) from System drives?

  3. System Recovery "The system image is on a hard disk...."

    Hi,

I am Ganesh Gandhi, an Independent Advisor and Office Insider for Android. I am here to work with you on this problem.

If you're restoring to the same hard disk, you don't need to select the Format And Repartition Disks check box.

You are getting that error message since the system image you wanted to use is located on the same hard disk that would be formatted and restored to. You can only select a system image from a drive that is different that the one that is being restored.

    Refer here:

    https://www.tenforums.com/backup-restore/105971...

Kindly follow these steps for backup

    1. Take system image in external drive or a set of optical discs.

(Unfortunately, you can't create a system image on a USB flash drive.)

    2. Try this free backup, disk imaging and cloning solution

    Macrium Reflect Free Trials

Do let me know if you require any further help on this. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Remove spare hard disk as system disk

    Thank you for your reply.

There's a possibility that your HDD was detected as OS drive during the Windows installation. To remove your HDD as system disk, we suggest reformatting it. To do so, please follow the steps below:

    • Open Disk Management.
    • Right-click on your HDD, then select Format.
    • On the Format windows, type your preferred Volume label,
      File system (NTFS is recommended)
, Allocation unit size (leave as Default).
    • Check the Perform a quick format option, then click
      OK
      .

Note: Please back up your files before reformatting the drive.

Feel free to post back should you need further help.
