  1. Hard Drive files unaccessible after some time?

Hello everyone - I've got a very unique issue which I'm hoping some expert can help me on!

So a while back I attempted to do a Disk Clean-Up of one of my three internal Hard Drives; without noticing however, the entire Hard Drives files started to be deleted... thankfully, since I have over 500GB of data on the hard drive, it took some time so I managed to notice and Cancelled the Deletion of files. At first a large chunk of the files were no longer showing on the Hard Drive so I feared the worst however, after I restarted my computer, the files came back - so that was great!

What has happened however is that, since that day, and at random times it could be either after 15 minutes or 15 hours of starting up my PC, all of a sudden the Hard Drive acts strangely:

    - certain files even ones downloaded after the Disk Cleanup scenario are inaccessible

    - I become unable to download Google Chrome downloads straight to the disk

When I first start up my PC the hard drive acts normally so it seems to be triggered off by something which I am unsure about. I'd just like my Hard Drive to act normally throughout and without risking losing any files on the drive.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

    Luke

    :)

    Stored files in Hard Drive

You can use Windows search. Just search for *.* on a desired drive. When list is done just arrange them by size LOL.

You can do it via command line as well and make an output text file showing files and their sizes (but without arrangement)

    Second hard drive unaccessible

My second hard drive on my ASUS laptop (Windows 10) went somewhat missing. Previously named the "D" drive and containing 498GB of space (C drive is about 372 GB), I now cannot find it anywhere in the file explorer.

When going to Control Panel > Administrative tools > Computer Management > Disk Management, I can see the C drive along with a few other smaller (<1 GB) drives, as well as what seems to be my D drive. It has 498GB, but the space for its name is blank, and
when I right-click on it, the only available options are "Delete Volume" and "Help" (all other actions are grayed out and unaccessible).

What can I do to regain access and be able to use my nearly half-terabyte drive?

Hard Drive files unaccessible after some time?

    Stored files in Hard Drive

I'd like to know if there's a way of listing all the files stored in my hardware and arrange them by size, because I want to keep track of what's on my hard drive. Thanks, I hope you answer.
