Windows 10: Hard drive goes randomly to 100% and freezes all programs.

It takes 10-120 seconds after that it goes to normal or it gives me a bluescreen/pc restart (or while freezed it crashes). In the Task-Manager it shows no program which causes this. And also the read and write speed is 0 and sometimes a few kb/s. I have a Samsung 840 EVO SSD and Windows 10 Home. I tried sfc /scannow but it says everything is fine. And also I've tried defragmenting and scan drive for corruption (I forgot the command). Maybe someone could help me with this it starts to get frustrating.

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

Free hard drive backup/restore program?

I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.
