Windows 10: Hard drive installed in new laptop. Bit Locker error occuring.

Hard drive installed in new laptop. Bit Locker error occurring. Will clearing the TPM and suspending/resuming Bit Locker resolve the issue?

Laptop hard drive upgrade

To replace a hard drive on a laptop is a little more troublesome than a desktop. 1st as most people here suggest you will need some sort of a backup disk just in case. Also be sure when buying the new Hard Disk is compatible with your model. And i would strongly suggest you install a new system and start from scratch because there are far too many problems that can occur when transferring system files.

 

Bitlocker Win10 Local Disk D not supported, C: bit locker was purchased and installed- how to fix USB drive

I purchased bit locker from the Microsoft store, after I bought my new Dell PC Inspiron 13-7000 series. It worked great, then a few months ago my Solid state hard drive crashed and a new one was installed. I can see bit-locker, it is turned on for my C
drive, however, I when I format at USB using NFTS, "bit locker does not appear for USB flash drive anymore. I can still enter my password for UBS's I encrypted prior to my hard drive crashed with no problem.

When I checked my Microsoft account it shows the following:

1. This PC (C bit locker on manage recovery key

2. Local Disk (D

Bit locker NOT SUPPORTED

My question, how to I get bit locker turned on again for my usb (local disk) drive. something changed when the new hard drive was installed, and I am not sure what steps I need to take to get it "supported again" .

Hi Bro

i am facing problem with bit locker on my laptop.

The matter of fact is, I format the window older one but the problem is that time bit locker is on and now i install the other window on my laptop but now bit locker does not accept the key so what will i do.

please help me because i don't want to format the drive.
