Windows 10: hard drive isn't formatting

Sir, my windows was crashed when my laptop fell from the table. Most of my data in hdd was corrupt. But the important data was 50% recovered. Then I bought a ssd and tried to trasnfer important data from hdd to ssd. Then I formatted hdd but it shows 465GB of unallocated space, even when I have a hdd of 512 GB. Also, I cannot clone my ssd's OS to hdd and the windows keeps showing that the disk cannot be formatted. When I tried to clone using Macrium software it shows error 8 and I don't know what it is even I searched but I don't get what it is. My hard drive is installed in caddy now as wh

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

To format an external USB or an external hard drive you can easily do it by accessing Computer Management. For us to assist you, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Press the Start button.
• Type Computer Management.
• On the left side, click on Disk Management under Storage.
• Locate the drive that you want to format.
• Once located, right-click on the drive and choose Format.

If the hard drive has not been formatted with the steps that we have provided above, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your hard drive. Some hard drive requires a software that you'll need to use just to format it.

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.
